How to Book a Camping Experience
Kinds of Camping
Camp Liahona is available to LDS church groups of all types and their guests. The camp was originally designed and dedicated as a Youth Activity Centre and is still an ideal camp for the Young Men and Young Women auxiliaries. They have priority access to reservations during the summer when schools are closed.
Facilities at Camp Liahona lend themselves to both large and small groups. There is a new small camping area close to the lake with small fire ring, picnic table and tent platforms. The main area will accomodate up to 120 people.
All campers must have reservations. The Reservation Fees Calculator below will help you decide what you want to book before you call. To make a reservation or to discuss reservations with the booking agent, you will need to call during normal business hours. Click on Contacts to get the telephone number and email address.
Special Instructions for Youth Camps
Being at Camp Liahona is as close to being at the temple as many people can experience. It is a dedicated site and a special spirit resides here. It can be a temple-like experience if the distractions of the world are eliminated. We strongly advise youth leaders to assure that youth do not bring any electronic devices to camp (mobile phones, music players, games, etc.) and to plan on at least a 4 night camp.
It takes 3 days for the drumming of the world to wash out of their minds so that they can begin to hear and feel the Holy Ghost whispering the eternal truths of the Gospel in their hearts.
One of the major Rules at Camp Liahona is the one prohibiting electronic devices except as needed for health and safety reasons. Leaders should also plan to adhere to this rule as far as possible in order to help the youth feel equally trusted.
Fees, Taxes, Insurance, and Deposits.
Camp Liahona is open to church members and their guests who come to participate in Church sponsored activities such as girls camps, Ward camping trips, father sons outings and etc. For tax and insurance reasons, fees for guests should not be paid by the guests but by their hosts.
Your deposit secures your reservation. In the event that there is any damage to the camp facility or cleaning left undone, you will be expected to pay expenses.
Day Use
If you are planning to leave by sunset you should book Day Use.
Overnight Use
If you are staying overnight, you will need to book overnight use. The maximum stay is two weeks.
Large groups that want to camp overnight during the months whilst schools are in session, may reserve the main area of the camp including the covered kitchen and dining area. Primitive camping is almost always available.
Camping Areas

Please note that you cannot have fires anywhere on Camp Liahona except designated fire pits. The fen soil here will take light and burn!!
Oak Meadow has several 14' x 14' platforms designed for our large tents. You may use these or pitch your tents on the grass.
Zion's Hill is the area where new cabins will be constructed but in the meantime it is available for your tents.
Birch Path is available for your tents. The small fire pit with picnic table and water tap are both located in this area.
Mosiah's Meadow is where the archery range is located but if no other group is using that, it would be available for your tent camping.
Manti is a mostly wooded area suitable for you to pitch your tents.
Cumorah is a wooded area suitable for you to pitch your tents.
Arrival and Check In
You should plan on a 30 minute orientation discussion with the Directors when you first arrive. Bring your reservation confirmation to the Camp Directors home and receive your instructions about where you will be camping and any last minute questions you may have can be answered there. If the Directors are not home, please proceed on to the camp as they are probably already there.

download a reservation form and mail it. Make cheques payable to England Farm Properties. You do not have a confirmed reservation until any deposits required are collected. We can only hold your requested reservation open for 2 weeks while we wait for your deposit to arrive.
